The esports circuit of mobile fighting game Brawlhalla has announced a partnership with tournament platform Challengermode.

As a result of the deal, the platform will become the home of all Brawlhalla esports events taking place in 2025.

The first Brawlhalla competitions to take place on Challengermode will occur between April 12th and 13th.

Following the opening events, the Spring Championship will be hosted on the platform with one-versus-one and two-versus-two tournaments taking place.

Challengermode provides publishers with a range of features to streamline tournament operations. Brawlhalla players will have the ability to sign up and check in before matches. Moreover, the platform will provide support to address any issues players may encounter while competing.

The platform is no stranger to hosting online esports events across a variety of genres. In August 2024, it hosted Madden NFL 25 Championship matches which ran until February 2025.

In October 2024, Challengermode raised £2m in funding that is being used to expand its offering outside of the esports industry.

Brawlhalla’s 2025 Esports Plans

The community and seasonal events are two-thirds of the full Brawlhalla esports roadmap for 2025.

This year marks the tenth year of the fighting game and will also include Royale tournaments taking place in April, August, and October. The ten-player invitational events aim to bring the best players from each region together.

2025 will also play host to another Brawlhalla World Championship which is said to be ‘bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before.’ More details on upcoming events will be revealed at a later date.

2024’s world championship featured a $200,000 (~£156,399) prize pool to round off the title’s ninth year of esports competition.

Despite the singles and doubles tournaments attracting over 100 players, the event recorded a modest peak viewership of 32,061 according to Esports Charts.
