VCT-partnered organisation Global Esports has announced three significant leadership hires across operations, revenue and regional strategy.

With this strategic expansion, the India-based organisation aims to accelerate its growth focused on content and international competitive events.

“From Mumbai to Seoul and then to the world. GE is truly going global with the strongest leadership we’ve ever had. This is phase two,” the official announcement read.

Rob Stamey, who brings extensive experience from G2 Esports, DarkZero and Ghost Gaming, has been appointed as the Global Head of Operations.

“Since 2017, GE has established themselves as the premier, and most decorated club from India. Our next phase will focus on hyper-growth, content, and international competition,” said Stamey upon joining Global Esports.

Minseong ‘Unknown’ Kim, who has already been working with the organisation’s VALORANT team, is now officially the Assistant General Manager and Director of Korean Operations.

“The team is going through difficult times, and I promise I will help GE be a team you, the fans, will be proud of supporting — you deserve the best and thus that is our goal,” Kim tweeted on X (Twitter).

With years of experience in the Korean esports ecosystem across titles like Overwatch and League of Legends, Kim will play a key role in improving org’s regional presence in Korea.

Amitesh Dayal, who joined Global Esports in mid-2024, will become the Director of Revenue and Strategy.

“Global Esports is at the forefront of the region’s gaming evolution. I’m honoured to lead revenue and strategy for India’s first profitable esports org,” said Dayal.

The official announcement also revealed plans for expansion into new IPs, though it remains unclear whether this refers to entering new esports titles.

Esports Insider has reached out to Global Esports for further clarification and will update this article when more information is provided.

Meanwhile, the organisation’s VALORANT roster is currently competing in VCT Pacific Stage 1, fighting for Masters Toronto qualification, which would mark its first-ever appearance at an international VCT event.
