PUBG Mobile gaming publisher, Level Infinite of Tencent Games, reveals future tournaments and events scheduled for the year, including slots, prize pools and more.

This follows as the 2024 calendar draws to a close after the conclusion of the 2024 PMGC Champion Grand Finals in London.

A six-minute long YouTube video was posted on the PUBG Mobile esports channel with news shared by James Yang, Senior Director of the Global Esports Center at Level Infinite.

A roadmap for the rest of the year has been revealed, alongside reminders of already established events such as PUBG Mobile’s return to the Esports World Cup (EWC) as part of its continued partnership with Tencent Esports.

PUBG Mobile Global Open Returns With New Rules

Yang said: “It means that once a team hits 80 points, and takes the Chicken Dinner in any of the remaining matches, they will be crowned the 2025 PMGO Champions. If no team wins by SMASH rules, the team with the highest points after 12 matches takes the title.”

The grand finals line-up has also been announced, which will have qualifying teams from both professional and amateur line-ups. The eight amateur teams have yet to be announced.

This is the revealed pro line-up so far:

  • Nigma Galaxy (PMGC MEA #1)
  • Influence Rage (2024 PMGC AM #1)
  • 4Merical Vibes (2024 PMGC CSA #1)
  • Regnum Carya Esports (2024 PMGC EU #1)
  • D’Xavier (PMSL Southeast Asia)
  • Nongshim Redforce (Pro Series Korea)
  • Reject (Japan Qualifer)
  • TBD (Peacekeeper Elite League)

Yang also shared that the champions of the PMGO Grand Finals will also win an extra slot for their region in EWC 2025.

PUBG Mobile 2025 Esports Super League Expansion

Both the PUBG Mobile National Championships and Super League Qualifiers will be open to all players, allowing the chance to progress to the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL)

In the 2025 esports calendar, PMSL will be expanded into five different regions:

Yang said: “By splitting PMSL EMEA into PMSL Europe and PMSL MENA, we’re fostering more opportunity for regional teams to shine on the global stage.

“To further encourage participation, we’ll be holding more PMSL Qualifiers, totalling 29 qualifiers for every player globally to access the PMSL.”

The PDP design contest is also underway, with a selection of finalists confirmed and undergoing review. The winners will be unveiled as the official skin for the 2025 PUBG Mobile World Cup at EWC.

Yang then repeated that the PUBG Mobile Global Championships would conclude the 2025 roadmap in Thailand.
