Esports tournament organiser BLAST, the operators of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), has secured a partnership with silversmiths and trophy designer Thomas Lyte.

As a result of the deal, the designer will become the Official Silverware Partner of the 2025 RLCS season.

As the silverware partner of the RLCS, Thomas Lyte will craft all trophies and medals awarded to the winners of each tournament taking place throughout the year. The designer is most known for holding a Royal Warrant, acting as the silversmith and goldsmith for King Charles III.

The designer is also no stranger to the world of esports. In 2012, it created the original Summoner’s Cup, which was awarded to the winners of the League of Legends World Championship until 2022.

“At Thomas Lyte we are thrilled to bring our expertise and craftsmanship to the global Rocket League community,” said Kevin Baker, Founder and CEO of Thomas Lyte.

“This fantastic partnership with BLAST and the RLCS reflects our shared belief that excellence in competition deserves to be celebrated with silverware of the highest calibre, supporting the continued rise of esports on the world stage.”

The first trophy of the partnership between Thomas Lyte and BLAST was awarded at the RLCS Birmingham Major, the first of Rocket League’s 2025 Majors.

According to Esports Charts, the event recorded a significant viewership decrease of 33% compared to the first Major of 2024 which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“We’re excited to be partnering with a world-class leader in Thomas Lyte to elevate our trophies and medals to mirror the skill, flair, and dedication of our competitors,” added Charlie Cowdrey, Program Director of Fortnite and Rocket League at BLAST.

“We’re excited to enrich the winner’s experience and give fans an inside look at the trophies through engaging content throughout the season.”
