Siuhy joins Team Liquid on trial for PGL and BLAST events

North American esports organisation Team Liquid has announced Polish Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Kamil ‘Siuhy’ Szkaradek has joined its roster.

As a result, Justin ‘jks’ Savage has been taken off the organisation’s starting lineup. Team Liquid is also planning to make Siuhy its new in-game leader instead of Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken, who just took on the IGL role within the past eight months.

Siuhy joins Team Liquid on a trial period from German esports organisation MOUZ, starting with the PGL Bucharest event taking place from April 6th to 13th, 2025. In addition, he will also play under the organisation’s banner during the BLAST Austin Major.

Alongside adding Siuhy to the starting lineup, the organisation stated it will help the departing JKS to ‘work on his future’ including the assistance of helping the Australian find another team should he choose to continue competing in Counter-Strike esports.

Siuhy has made a solid start to CS2. In August 2024, the 22-year-old finished fourth at IEM Cologne while December saw him record another top-four finish at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, with MOUZ taking home a total of $160,000 (~£123,646) in prize money.

The first event for the new Team Liquid roster is PGL Bucharest. Notably, MOUZ won’t be attending the event, enabling Siuhy to represent Team Liquid.

The North American organisation is one of 16 teams competing at the event featuring a $1.25m (~£965,195) prize pool.

Team Liquid’s Counter-Strike roster has undergone plenty of change in 2025. In March, coach Torbjørn ‘mithR‘ Nyborg parted ways with the organisation after less than a year as its head coach.

Former analyst, Jay ‘Demars DeRover’ Li, continues to act as the interim head coach as the organisation continues to search for a suitable replacement.

Will Team Liquid Find Improvement with New Roster?

The last month of matches has been mixed for Team Liquid. A top 12 finish at BLAST Spring Open along with a top eight placement at Season 21 of ESL Pro League put the team on the verge of competing against the best teams in the world.

With the addition of Siuhy for PGL Bucharest and the Austin Major, the new lineup could be the change needed to break into the top four. If Siuhy does well for the struggling team, it’s possible that Team Liquid could buy him from MOUZ.
