Riot Games has disqualified DVM from the rest of VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 2 after a physical conflict broke out between fans during the team’s match against Joblife on April 8th.

According to a report by Ensigame, the incident began when DVM supporters started verbally provoking Joblife fans. The situation quickly escalated into physical violence, forcing the match to be cancelled immediately.

The local police had to intervene to take control over the situation and the involved DMV fans were escorted out of the venue, tournament organisers Webedia confirmed.

On social media, the tournament organiser posted: “Following the unfortunate events that occurred during Challengers Day, and due to unacceptable behaviour, we have made the decision to exclude the DVM supporters group from the venue and to cancel the match between Joblife and DVM, in order to protect the interests of the players and the public.

“The league will never tolerate such behaviour, which is completely incompatible with the values of esports. The situation is currently under investigation, and the league’s organisation is considering possible additional sanctions. We apologise to the fans who travelled to attend this event.”

While DVM’s founders denied any direct involvement, Webedia stated that allowing the team to continue was no longer viable given the circumstances.

“Considering the incidents that occurred during the Challengers Day on April 8th and the involvement of DVM, we have decided to exclude the organization from the remainder of Segment 2 of the Challengers League France,” Webedia announced officially.

While the VALORANT fans have supported the decision by Riot Games and Webedia, many expressed concern about the impact on the players.

“Well done to the organisation, a fair and exemplary decision. Courage to the players, hoping that they can bounce back quickly or finish the year,” a user tweeted.

“If only there was an option that punished the org and not the players,” another fan stated.

Some of the fans have wondered if it is possible to let the players continue without DVM’s banner; however, according to the rules, it is not allowed. In the meantime, the tournament organisers are reviewing the situation and will take further action if necessary.
